Sirena's God always surprises her.
Sirena looks up from the scroll she is studying in disbelief. She shakes her head and reads the script again, hoping she has not read it correctly., but there it is: "Belenus demands that sacrificial offerings be made four times a year: midwinter, vernal equinox, midsummer, and autumnal equinox. " She shudders at the words "sacrificial offerings" and consults her calender. Six days to the vernal equinox! She knows that in order to continue along the path to Priestess she needs to construct a ritual but why does it have to be one involving sacrifice? She rolls the scroll back onto its rod, replaces it on the shelf and leaves the guild hall, wondering how she ever got chosen by such a stygian god and what kind of living being she must kill to please this morbid god of hers.
