An Exorcism in Sylvhara

Meanwhile, on the second floor of the Sylvharan Clerics Hall, Dominque and Star attend to the Torgan man who is possessed by a demon while annebelle Constantine and Manwell Roux look on.

Dominique Darkwatch: I am told he is of the shadows
Star (melonystargazer) nods
Dominique Darkwatch: I may be able to help him....but he may not be the same afterwards. Does he have a name?
Star (melonystargazer) nods "its marcus"
Dominique Darkwatch nods "that is the man's name?"
Marcus: '' yes, that is my name... ''
Star (melonystargazer) nods "can you help? and what do you mean he wont be the same"
Dominique Darkwatch: Ah...good you can speak, Marcus! Do you know the name of the demon?
Star (melonystargazer): "marcus....the demons name?" Star knelt beside him
Marcus: '' I know not, I know not ''
Star (melonystargazer) frowns....
Dominique Darkwatch: Knowing the demon's name is extremely helpful
Star (melonystargazer) thinks back
Dominique Darkwatch frowns "But it will reveal it eventually"
Star (melonystargazer): "its kylar...." She sighs
Dominique Darkwatch: Very well
Star (melonystargazer) watches intently *come on marcus fight this * she thinks
Dominique Darkwatch kneels down to examine him more closely, murmuring a prayer that allows her to see inside and seek his soul. She prays while gently putting her hand upon the man's head "I am Dominique...I am here to help you"
Dominique Darkwatch: I want you to relax for a moment, Marcus....I wish to speak with the one who haunts you
Marcus: '' I do not know if he will speak... ''
Dominique Darkwatch tries to soothe and comfort him with her voice
Below, Malakyte paces a bit, watching those around her..
Marcus relaxes slowly closing his eyes feeling the demon claw its way to the fore
Kylar Solari regards the woman with brown eyes that flashed with malice, "what is it you want woman? before I kill you...."
Dominique Darkwatch looks up to the rangers, comforted by their presence should things get violent and whispers a prayer for their strength...and hers
Star (melonystargazer) growls "your on holy ground demon watch what you say"
Dominique Darkwatch furrows her brow with determination "What is your name, demon? And what is your business with this man?"
Kylar Solari chuckles, trying his best to ignore the pain of the place he was in, "I will tear this building apart, destroy the altars, then none shall stand in my way....." he looks to the other woman again, "this man is my vessel, that i may wreak havoc on this plane..... and I shall not tell you my name woman..."
annbelle Constantine: starts to pray and stand steady to help
Star (melonystargazer): "his name is kylar. he tried to seduce me once " she growls
Dominique Darkwatch tightens her lips "You are in no position to threaten anyone...KYLAR!"
annbelle Constantine: glares at the demon
Kylar Solari growls hearing his name spoken
Dominique Darkwatch growls a bit, thankful to have someone...something to vent upon "You can leave this man in peace now, or face your own pain and destruction....find a chicken or pig or something to trouble!"
Kylar Solari: I will not leave this man........
Star (melonystargazer): "kylar" star growls
Dominique Darkwatch stands "So be it, Kylar" She looks to the rangers "you are also medics, yes?"
Star (melonystargazer) shakes her head
Manwell Roux: *motions to Annbelle* annbelle is a medic
annbelle Constantine: nods yes new to this but yes
Manwell Roux: in training though
annbelle Constantine: smiles to manwell
Dominique Darkwatch nods and smiles "good...your skills and prayers will avail
much!"
Star (melonystargazer) smiles at her fellow rangers

Malakyte Thorne sighs and looks to the south. Then deeming all is in hand takes to the sky.
Sirena Lauria listens from below and hopes to learn something about healing

annbelle Constantine: nods ."..what would you like me to do ? "
Dominique Darkwatch: Annbelle.....can you stand near his feet?
annbelle Constantine: yes"
Dominique Darkwatch: More healers would be helpful but we will use what we have at hand.....have courage, Marcus!
Manwell Roux: *furrows brow listening to Dominique's determination ... and hopes*
Sirena Lauria calls up "I am a healer in training. Do you want my help Sylvharan?'
Dominique Darkwatch calls down "Aye! All are wlecome!"
Sirena Lauria enters the strange building and tries to find her way up
Star (melonystargazer) heads down to help her. "through here"
Dominique Darkwatch closes her eyes tightly and evokes a prayer to Vana, thus bringing forth more ceremonial robes to aid in the healing process. She looks to Annbelle "Yes...now you may begin praying but listen for further instruction"
annbelle Constantine: Leans down to Marcus, moving closer murmuring a prayer trying to reach his soul
Sirena Lauria assumes a position by the side of the Torgan and kneels. She asks for Belenus to heed the calls of the trained healer.
Star (melonystargazer) being of no further use went and stood quietly by her commander
Manwell Roux: *stands back to give the healers room to work and *smiles at Star*
Dominique Darkwatch calls to the demon "Kylar! you will be sent to the abyss form whence you came!"
Star (melonystargazer) shivers slightly but stood still
Kylar Solari growls at her
annbelle Constantine places a hand over this feet and legs " bring Marcus back to us"
Dominique Darkwatch closes her eyes and begins praying
Kylar Solari: he is mine... you shall not have him....
Dominique Darkwatch calls down a divine blessing upon all in her area.
Star (melonystargazer) turns as the wind tickled the back of her neck and she smiles slightly and nods to yilix
Dominique Darkwatch nods to Sirena "you may call upon your god for strangth and healing for this man"
Sirena Lauria says "Belenus, this man is important to me as a Torgan Citizen. Please help him return. Please give the man Marcus your strength to fight this demon."
Marcus feels the demon slowly start to ebb away, but he winces as the demon rakes claws into his mind
Dominique Darkwatch narrows her eyes, kneels and then closes them again in fervent prayer "Eru, I beseech you now to consecrate this place and make it holy! Fill this place with your love and your light! Take possession of this place and this man's soul, driving the creature from him!"
Dominique Darkwatch consecrates the ground on which she stands for divine use. She hears yilix behind her and remains kneeling and whispers "If you could purify the area further with incense or candles, that would be most helpful"
Star (melonystargazer) goes to the table and strikes a match to light the incense
Yilix Nyn checks the incense as Star lights it
Star (melonystargazer): she herself had to move away the scent givng her a slighlt headcae
Dominique Darkwatch continues to pray "Eru Illuvatar, Creator and Master of all the world, I call upon you for guidance, wisdom and strength.... help me send this evil creature, Kylar, back to the abyss from which he came!"
Kylar Solari winces, feeling the holy presence that seared him he yelled out in pain
Marcus cries out as the demon continues to claw at him from the inside
Dominique Darkwatch feels the candles flicker begin to draw out the impurities and draws from the strength of her healing sisters, channeling holiness and light into the body of Marcus
Dominique Darkwatch casts the light of Varda and restores 10 points of stamina to those nearby.
Sirena Lauria sends her strength and prayers to the healer.
Sirena Lauria casts Iridescence and restores 10 points of health to those nearby.
Dominique Darkwatch prays and meditates deeply, letting her spirit feel within the man, casting light to loosen the demon's hold upon him
Dominique Darkwatch illuminates her immediate area for 30 seconds with a ball of divine light.
Manwell Roux: *feels refreshed from a burst of magic from Sirena ... Is surprised, not having known her skills*
Kylar Solari hisses out, "you may send me away, but I will take him with me! you shall not have him!"
Marcus cries out more, the pain from the demon increasing
Star (melonystargazer) pales "fight this marcus ! you can do it!"
annbelle Constantine: smelling the incense , start to mediate deeply and starts to feel the soul of marcus " fight Marcus ..you must fight"
Mityka Gartle comes in and looks around
Yilix Nyn whispers: greetings brother Mit
Dominique Darkwatch feels the desperation fo the demon and castes more light into him "NO! You will not have him, Kylar! Back to the shadow with you!"
Dominique Darkwatch illuminates her immediate area for 30 seconds with a ball of divine light.
Manwell Roux: Can the demon kill Marcus if he is forced out?
Star (melonystargazer) frowns I’m not sure....
Kylar Solari growls and bucks against the bindings, fighting to get free, before he was forced out of this body. He wiggles at their bindings.
Sirena Lauria continues to send what little strength she has channeled from her God to the Cleric
Star (melonystargazer) frowns it was times at these she wishes she took the medic path but the weight of destiny (her sword) on her back made her put those thoughts behind her
Dominique Darkwatch 's spirit feels the demons anger and floods yet more light into his soul "You will NOT have him! Back to the pit with you!"
Mityka Gartle looks around wondering how can he help
Manwell Roux: Can the demon just be locked up inside the human, sealed so that he cannot exert any influence over marcus?
annbelle Constantine: " Marcus ...Fight ! fight this demon!" ..prayer even deeper
Kylar Solari yells out and searches for another soul to take, to live on, he rakes at Marcus' mind one last time before releasing him, and tries to enter Star's body
Star (melonystargazer) shakes her head "if it can be pushed out that may be for the better"
Star (melonystargazer) kneels over
Dominique Darkwatch opens her eyes to see a familiar drow near "Mit! Take a station across from Sirena! We will surround him and he will not escape!"
Sirena Lauria prays silently to Belenus "Hear the pleas of this Cleric and give Marcus the strength of your fire to burn out the demon"
Star (melonystargazer) growls fighting him hard
Marcus gasps as the demon leaves him, his eyes closing as he passes out
Mityka Gartle sits across Sirena, takes a breath and tries to listen to the world and people around him.
Kylar Solari seeks to enter her body, her soul, to take control of her, he could feel himself fading quickly, if he did not get into her soul, he would fade from this plane completely
Sirena Lauria watches the man Marcus slump and sighs as her strength begins to fade
Dominique Darkwatch feels the prayers of encouragement and fights her own fatigue as she pushes yet more light into the man to feel his own soul
Yilix Nyn runs his fingers over his feather and asks the wind to carry off this demon from entering anyone in this sacred place
Star (melonystargazer) growls fighting him back. the darkness within her seeking him hoping to give him a home but she continues to try and push him out
Marcus’ horns on his head shrink and disappear
annbelle Constantine: ' that’s it Marcus come in to the light." sending all her strength of healing to help him
Mityka Gartle whispers: "I, tell you demon, go back to abyss where you came to us."
Sirena Lauria whispers "Belenus, use the strength of your fire to send this demon away"
Dominique Darkwatch speaks with her spiritual voice "Come Marcus! Come forth! Follow me! Breathe again the air of the free!"
Kylar Solari feels himself fading completely and he howls out before he is gone, gone....
Yilix Nyn wave his feather talsisman to the wind
Mityka Gartle sighs with a deep relief
Star (melonystargazer) grunts, standing, shaking her head to try and clear it of any lingering thoughts that kylar put there
Dominique Darkwatch feels the spirit of the man, Marcus and feels deep compassion for him and begins to weep over him, her tears providing the final cleansing as they fall upon his face
Star (melonystargazer) walks quietly back to manwell and yilix absorbed in her own thoughts
Dominique Darkwatch feels the exhaustion from the battle with the demon set in but calls gently "Come Marcus.... speak.... you are free"
Mityka Gartle reaches the man's body and starts whispering: "Pray you, father forest and you, father sea, give the strength to him to live and be."
The man breathes in and opens his eyes, the brown orbs looking around, he did not recognize this place, and when he speaks, his voice is low and smooth, "Where am I?"
Dominique Darkwatch breathes a whispered prayer "Thank you Iluvatar"
Manwell Roux: *smiles at the work done by those more skilled than himself*
Star (melonystargazer) smiles her good deed down and slips quietly back out the door hioping to be unnoticed
Mityka Gartle nods and says: "Calm down stranger, you are good now."
Dominique Darkwatch: You are safe now, Marcus...and free from the torment of the demon that possessed you...you are among friends"
The man says "where am I? who am I? and why am I bound?"
Manwell Roux: Dominique, is it safe to untie him?
Star (melonystargazer) couldnt reisist a slight chuckle
Dominique Darkwatch glances around "I think we can free him now"
annbelle Constantine takes a long deep breath as if she was holding it for so long. smiles happy to hear Marcus soft voice come thru
Mityka Gartle watches up at Manwell: "Commander, could you free him?"
Sirena Lauria rests back on her heels as she sees a fellow Torgan emerge from the depths
Dominique Darkwatch smiles at her fellow healers "Thank you Sirena, Annbelle and Mit""
Manwell Roux: *moves to marcus and starts untieing him*
Mityka Gartle smiles: "You can rely on my help at any time, you know this."
Sirena Lauria says "you are most welcome Cleric."

A Balance of Dark and Light

This tale takes place in Sylvhara Elen, a land growing dark when the Hoon was forcibly removed from it. Many of those who dwell in the darker realm of the Torgan Empire feel free to wander in this land that had once been light.

Sirena Lauria watches a graceful fae enter the tavern "greetings" she says politely
Casandra Shilova smiles brightly "tae'gel'kir. Isn't it a beautiful day?"
Sirena Lauria tilts her head at the fae "I hadn't noticed a sun today. Is there one?" She goes to the door to look outside
Casandra Shilova looks at her quizzically wondering how anyone could miss the golden orb "why yes!"
Sirena Lauria turns away when all she sees is the darkness and says "you are making sport with me." She shakes her head wondering if the fae has drunk too much bloodwine.
Casandra Shilova sighs and says "I'm afraid I am seeing what I wish to see"
Sirena Lauria says "I met a man today who said he wished to see the dawn. Is that not strange? It is dark where I live all the time. I do not mind it"
Casandra Shilova looks at her "it is? I could not stand never to see the sun. It is so beautiful when it rises and sets, and sparkles on the water just so"
Sirena Lauria shrugs "The sun reveals the impurities and the dross"
Casandra Shilova tilts her head and looks at her in disbelief "that is all you see with the sun? I see the beauty, the glory of the orb, the life it brings to all living things. without it they and we would shrivel and die"
Sirena Lauria says "The world keeps its balance; some places like the light and some like the dark."
Casandra Shilova dips her head from side to side and then nods "you speak wisely. I am thankful I am suited to the light"
Sirena Lauria says "Then we balance each other well. I am Sirena First Dancer at The Place of the Torgan Empire"
Casandra Shilova turns "I am Casandra. Just Casandra"
Sirena Lauria makes a little curtsy "Well met Just Casandra"
Casandra Shilova makes a noise, skips over a thought, and says "I am pleased to meet you Sirena"
Sirena Lauria asks "Are you up for some adventure fair fae?'
Casandra Shilova nods "I am. I was going to search for items to put in my pouch, but I would rather have an adventure"
Sirena Lauria raises an eyebrow in disbelief. "That is the adventure I meant. I too am looking for treasures and secret things but some of the lands are very threatening."
Casandra Shilova blinks "Really? We had the same goal this eve? How marvelous is that! I am a new member in the healers guild and searching for items for the pouch is a requirement" She turns towards the door "two of us will be safer than one, let us explore and search together"
Sirena Lauria grins "I too am a new member of the Torgan Clerics Guild." Then she frowns "I was charged by my God to learn"
Casandra Shilova turns to her "your god? your god wants, insists you learn to heal?"
Sirena Lauria says "He told me to go to the Clerics Guild and learn." She frowns again "I assume that meant healing."
Casandra Shilova nods "yes"
Sirena Lauria says "I have seen something on an island here in this land. Let me see if I can remember where. Oh I remember now. This way. If you cross that small bridge there is mandrake root for the taking."

Casandra gathers the mandrake root and they head off toward a building in the west where they encounter a curious situation.

Manwell Roux: There is a Torgan citizen inside who has been possessed by a demon ... the demon has retreated deeply inside the man due to the pain of being in a holy place
Dominique Darkwatch nods and frowns
Manwell Roux: We could help the human remain free of the Demon if only he could be sealed inside the man, unable to influence him anymore. Can you do such a thing?
Sirena Lauria listens intently at the mention of a Torgan Citizen
Dominique Darkwatch: So he needs an exorcism it sounds like...sending the demon away
Manwell Roux: *nods to the Fae with a smile*
Manwell Roux: *nods to Sirena a ways away*
Sirena Lauria smiles at the ranger
Casandra Shilova smiles in return and wonders if there is a way to help
Dominique Darkwatch: Who is tending to the man, now?
Manwell Roux: Two Rangers, one of them is a medic. But this type of thing is beyond us
Dominique Darkwatch nods and sighs "I see" She looks over to Mala "Why is she not helping..it seems an arch druid would be better than a medic"
Manwell Roux: Marcus is free of the demon for now ... i wish we could help him
Dominique Darkwatch shifts a bit and nods "I will see what I can do for him"
Manwell Roux: Lady Mala is not herself lately ... I'm hesitant to call on her for this
Dominique Darkwatch nods having heard some of the rumors "Very well...he is inside?"
Manwell Roux: Yes, I think they took him upstairs
Sirena Lauria is intrigued with the idea of Sylvharans helping a Torgan and stays to watch
Dominique Darkwatch sighs and walks inside to climb to the second floor
Casandra Shilova pipes up "is there anyone you could call upon, that I could carry a message to?"
Malakyte Thorne blinks and watches ... but holds her ground, knowing that those here may need protection
Manwell Roux: *shifts and stands closer to his friend*
Sirena Lauria moves closer to the fae who had befriended her
Casandra Shilova settles to the ground
Sirena Lauria watches the ranger enter the building. She whispers "This is your clerics hall, Casandra?"
Casandra Shilova nods "yes, it is"
Sirena Lauria sniffs and whispers "our guildhall is more beautiful"
Casandra Shilova appreciates beauty and says softly "Is it? It is simply a meeting place for those that wish to heal, it is not necessary that it is beautiful"
Sirena Lauria nods slowly "I shall show you our place of learning and worship in exchange"
Casandra Shilova nods "I would like to see it some day. You have said Torgan is dark, and I hear it is dangerous. It would not be wise for me to go there"
Sirena Lauria shrugs " Some times are safer than others. I will choose a safe time and ask my God to protect you"
Casandra Shilova nods "I will ask mine also. And my wings are useful in tight situations"
Casandra Shilova sighs "I do not think I can be of help here. I am going to depart"
Sirena Lauria turns to the fae "I think I will stay, he is a Torgan Citizen. Dark paths Casandra"
Casandra Shilova is startled at her words "Farewell Sirena, I chose light paths for myself"
Sirena Lauria nods "Safe paths then"
Casandra Shilova nods "That I will say. Safe paths for you"
